High School Senior Parents…take note!✏️

If you are a parent of a High School Senior, I can only imagine the number of items on your fall “to-do” list! My head spins as I remember the lists I made in 2013 and 2016 when my daughters were seniors at Wellesley High School! I’m writing today’s blog to help you check off a few of those items (and maybe make your life a little less stressful in the process).

For 2 years I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Wellesley High School (and other nearby towns) seniors for their yearbook portraits. What fun I’ve had getting to know them as we chat together during their 30-45 minute session. I learn all kinds of wonderful things about them…their hobbies, pets, siblings, college dreams, best friends and even what side of their face they like best. What results from these casual and open conversations is a natural, happy and authentic portrait of your senior, one that can sometimes be difficult to get during those standard ‘big-box’ school photo sessions. My favorite portrait location is outdoors (my back yard, Wellesley Town Hall, Wellesley College, or your yard) with lovely late afternoon/early evening light. I also love soft window lighting and am adding an indoor studio to my options this fall.

All you need to do is email me to set a date for the sitting (sometime before mid-November), and I’ll take it from there. The Wellesley High School Yearbook deadline is usually around the first week in December, and I’ll even submit the photo for you. Easy peasy, right?✓

For 4 years I’ve been designing yearbook ads for Wellesley High School, Beaver Country Day, Belmont Hill, Dana Hall, Rivers, Milton, Nobles, and St. Sebastians. I’ve created over 250 of them and each one is unique. The process of creating a yearbook ad can instill tremendous fear 😬 in some parents, and if you’re one of them, I can help! All you need to do is upload your photos to my email (or bring them to my home for scanning), pick a quote and a message, and poof💫 I create your one-of-a-kind Yearbook Ad and submit it by the deadline to your yearbook staff (or you can submit the completed design yourself). There’s another item checked off your list!✓

For the last 2 years I’ve created a commemorative pillow for Wellesley High School Seniors that is completely unique and comes in very handy as a graduation gift! Featuring more than 50 words and phrases that are unique to the Wellesley Senior experience, these all-cotton pillows can even be autographed by your student’s friends and family and taken to college as a happy memory of their high school years.  Need a one-of-a-kind graduation gift? ✓ Done.

So, there you have it, 3 easy solutions and all from one source – Beth Shedd Photography and Graphics! Give me a call, drop me an email, browse my website and then get ready to start checking those items off your list – I’m here for you!✓✓✓
